Hyderabad, 7/10-  In a shocking incident in Kukatpally, a sex worker was arrested for the murder of another woman over a dispute regarding silver jewellery.

The accused allegedly used a blade to slit the throat of the victim and inflicted wounds to her private parts. The gruesome crime came to light on Sunday, October 6, when the body was discovered in an isolated location. Authorities arrested the accused after the discovery.

According to a report by the Times of India, The accused, identified as K Manjula, is a resident of Jagathgirigutta and confessed to her crime of killing the victim, Priyanka. Priyanka met Manjula a few months ago through a mutual friend after relocating to the city in search of work. The two quickly became friends, and Priyanka, lacking stable housing, entrusted her silver ornaments to Manjula for safekeeping. Unfortunately, a conflict over the jewellery later escalated into a tragic incident.

A week later, Priyanka asked Manjula to return her silver jewellery, but Manjula was uncooperative, resulting in a heated argument. On September 30, Priyanka brought along her male friends to confront Manjula, which forced her to give back the ornaments. Feeling ashamed and vengeful, Manjula allegedly made the decision to eliminate Priyanka.

On October 1, Manjula invited Priyanka over for drinks. After Priyanka had a few, Manjula took her to a secluded spot and pushed her down. Armed with a blade, she then slit Priyanka’s throat and inflicted injuries to her private areas. Following the vicious attack, Manjula fled the scene on a motorcycle and returned home. Police later recovered the stolen silver jewellery from her, which she had taken after committing the crime.
