‘I promise to campaign for PM Modi during Delhi Assembly polls 2025’, Arvind Kejriwal’s big, bold statement
New Delhi: Former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday, 06 October 2024 launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government during the second “Janata Ki Adalat” rally at Chhatrasal stadium in the national capital.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor challenged PM Modi to provide free electricity in the NDA-ruled states before the Delhi Assembly elections.
“There is an election in Delhi in February, I ask him to make electricity free in 22 states, I promise I will campaign for him in Delhi elections,” said Kejriwal.
On the issue of law and order in Delhi, the AAP national convenor said the law and order has deteriorated in the national capital. Comparing Delhi with Mumbai of 90’s, Kejriwal said, we used to hear about underworld rule in Mumbai in 90’s, the same has happened in Delhi.
“Ladies are hassled in buses of Delhi, there would be pickpockets, we brought bus marshals. But they stopped it,” rued Kejriwal.
Meanwhile on Friday, October 4, former Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel and party workers staged a protest against Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of “unauthorised occupation” of a government bungalow allotted to his party MP.
Arvind Kejriwal, after resigning from the post of Delhi chief minister, vacated the official bungalow allotted to him on Friday, October 4 and moved to AAP Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal’s bungalow, 5 Ferozeshah Road near Mandi House.
