Angul . 08.01:- A preparatory meeting for the celebration of 76th district level Republic Day was held this afternoon in the conference room of the district office under the chairmanship of the District Collector Mr. Abdal Muhammad Akhtar. In the beginning, Additional District Collector Mr. Pratap Pritimaya read out the details of the previous year’s preparatory meeting. According to the decision of the meeting, this year’s Independence Day celebration will be held at Angul PTC Grounds . Likewise in the morning from the office of the Information and Public relation Ramadhan will be sung and the city will be circumambulated, Between 6:30 AM and 7:00 PM, the school’s students will conduct a morning walk(prabhat Feri) -, besides, at 7:30 AM, the head of the institution will hoist the national flag in their various institutions. At the fixed time at 9.15 am at PTC Grounds, the Chief Officer will hoist the official National Flag as determined by the State Government , he will take salute from the Cadets in the parade. After the formal parade march past, a cultural program will be held in the grounds by the students of various educational institutions. Similarly, on the evening of the main event, a cultural program will be organized under the auspices of the District Cultural Council. The District Collector to the surveillance equipment of the East Division to work on the necessary barricading and other related equipment in the field. advised. In order to celebrate the Republic Day, lectures, patriotic songs and art exhibitions will be held on the 15th and 16th of this month among the students of schools and colleges. In the same way, the speech (argument) among the students of English medium school and the painting (coloring) competition among the pre-school students will also be held on the 16th. A fancy dress competition between students of class 1 to 5 and a one act competition between students of class 6 to 10 will be held at 4.00 pm before the cultural program of the Republic Day celebration. Besides, parade practice will be held on 22nd, 23rd and 24th of this month at PTC ground at 8 am. Similarly, fruits will be distributed to the patients of the district head Quarter hospital. Among others in this meeting, District Council Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Mr. Hemant Kumar Singh, Additional District Collector Mr. Uday Kumar Mohapatra, Angul Sub collector Mr. Baranyendu Mohanty, District Council Additional Development Officer and Executive Officer Mr. Padmanav Samantarai, district level officers of various departments, Teachers and students of various educational institutions, government and private sector workers, volunteers, eminent persons, intellectuals and Representatives of the media attended.
