Ram Navami celebrations: 26 platoon force to be deployed in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: A total of 26 platoons of force will be deployed in Bhadrak town to maintain law and order during the Ram Navami celebrations April 6, Eastern Range DIG Satyajit Nayak said.

 

Addressing a press conference Tuesday, Nayak said additionally, three companies of Central paramilitary forces, including BSF, CRPF, and Rapid Action Force will be stationed in the area to maintain peace during the festivities.

 

“Forces will be deployed across various streets and localities in the town, with CCTV and drone surveillance to ensure safety,” Nayak said, adding that authorities have initiated a crackdown to apprehend individuals with pending warrants.

“Mobile patrolling will be intensified, and social media platforms will be closely monitored. A case related to social media misuse has already been registered, and action will follow soon,” he added.

 

The police preparedness details were finalised during a review meeting conducted by Crime Branch DGP Binaytosh Mishra at the Bhadrak SP’s office Tuesday.

 

The review covered the Bhadrak and Balasore districts, focusing on maintaining law and order during the festival. Bhadrak SP Madkar Sandeep Sampad, Balasore SP Raj Prasad and senior police officials from both districts participated in the review meeting.
