43rd AIPEC 2024-25 Kicks Off with Grandeur at ITBP’s Basic Training Centre, Bhanu

Bhanu, March 15 – The 43rd All India Police Equestrian Championship & Mounted Police Duty Meet – 2024-25 (AIPEC) commenced with a spectacular opening at the Basic Training Centre, ITBP Campus, Bhanu. The prestigious event was inaugurated by Shri Gaurav Yadav, IPS, Director General of Police, Punjab, as the Chief Guest.

Bringing together elite riders from 19 states and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), this 10-day championship (March 12-23, 2025) will witness 588 male and female riders competing in ranking, individual, team, and mixed events.

Lauding ITBP’s preparations, Chief Guest Shri Gaurav Yadav called the event a remarkable platform to refine and showcase the equestrian skills of police personnel.

Welcoming the dignitaries and participants, Shri Ashok Negi, PMG, Inspector General, Basic Training Centre, Bhanu, ITBP, reaffirmed ITBP’s legacy of excellence in equestrian sports and ensured seamless arrangements for the championship.

With a 74-year legacy, the All India Police Games, organized under the All India Police Sports Control Board (AIPSCB), were first held in 1951. ITBP has proudly hosted this championship in 2014 and 2022, and its selection for the third time in 2024-25 is a testament to its stature in equestrian sports.

The grand finale is set for March 23, 2025.

Delivering the vote of thanks, Brigadier G. S. Gill, Deputy Inspector General, Basic Training Centre, Bhanu, ITBP, expressed pride in hosting this elite championship and commended the dedication of ITBP officers and personnel in making it a resounding success.
