Priyanka Gandhi Praises Home Minister Amit Shah; Expresses Gratitude for Fulfilling Demand in 25 Days

On December 4, Priyanka Gandhi met Amit Shah during a parliamentary session and requested that the severe damage caused by the devastating landslide in Wayanad be declared a “serious natural disaster.” On Monday, the Home Minister accepted her demand and declared the Wayanad landslide a “serious natural disaster.”
Wayanad MP and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi thanked Home Minister Amit Shah through an X post. The Ministry of Home Affairs declared the Wayanad incident a serious natural disaster. Welcoming the government’s decision, Priyanka Gandhi said this move would greatly aid the rehabilitation of the affected people.
“I am truly pleased that Amit Shah has finally declared the Wayanad incident a serious natural disaster. This will surely assist those in need of rehabilitation and is a step in the right direction. We would be extremely grateful if funds for this work are allocated in a timely manner,” Priyanka Gandhi wrote in her X post.
A few days ago, a delegation of Wayanad MPs and Kerala MPs, led by Priyanka Gandhi, met with Home Minister Amit Shah. They also sought help from the central government for the landslide victims.
