World Soil Day is observed at Angul 

Angul, 05/12 – District level World Soil Day has been observed at local Atma ‘ATMA’ conference room this morning. Chief District Agriculture Officer Mr. Dillip Kumar Mishra attended as the chief guest and emphasized on the importance of soil and new techniques of  conservation. Dr. Debshisha Mishra Chief Scientist of Agricultural Science Center as the main speaker in the program. joined in and discussed in detail the importance of observing Soil Day and the use of various organisms available in the soil and conservation of soil through organic farming methods.  Deputy Director of Horticulture Mr. A. R. Lagun, Assistant Executive Officer (Agriculture) Mr. Pramod Kumar Das, Additional Veterinary Officer Dr. Nigmanand Padhira, Assistant Project Director (Watershed) Mr. Amit Kumar Behera were  attended and told about Various government schemes related to soil conservation . He also called for the use of bio-fertilizers for high-quality agricultural production. The winners of various competitions organized on this day were awarded. The program was attended by farmers, students and respective citizens of the area.
