Madhya Pradesh: Student Shoots Principal Dead
In a shocking event at Dhamora Government Higher School in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh, Principal SK Saxena, aged 55, met a tragic end on Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred when Saxena was in the school toilet.
He had been serving as the principal of the school for the past five years. Tragically, he was shot in the head and died instantly at the scene, revealed RP Prajapati, the in-charge district education officer.
The grim situation unfolded at around 1:30 pm inside the school campus, as confirmed by Superintendent of Police Agam Jain. A student of the school, who is currently in Class XII, is alleged to have carried out the fatal shooting. Following the distressing act, the accused, along with another student from the same school, made a swift escape. They fled the scene on the scooter belonging to the deceased principal, adding a cold premeditation to the act, Jain disclosed.
This grave incident has left the school and local community in shock and mourning, reflecting on the safety measures present in educational institutions. The police are currently investigating the matter, with efforts underway to capture the two students involved in this heinous crime.
