One day visit to Angul of Additional Chief Electoral Officer and Additional Secretary odisha
Angul, 24/11 – Additional Chief Electoral Officer and Additional Secretary, Odisha Mr. Satrughan Kar has visited Angul today. Mr. Kar has visited various booths in the district including Angul city on the occasion of special short revision campaign for voter list. On this occasion, he inquired about the progress of the campaign from various Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and District and Sub-District level officials. However, to ensure a free, fair and transparent election process, the Election Commission of India conducts a special short revision campaign of voters’ list every year. In this campaign, along with correcting errors in the voter list, young women who have reached the age of 18 years can register their names in the voter list.
