Orissa HC upholds ex-MLA’s life sentence for murdering wife
Cuttack – The Orissa High Court Wednesday upheld the life sentence awarded to former legislator Ram Murti Gomango who was convicted by a special MP-MLA court of murdering his wife five years ago.
The charred body of Gomango’s wife Sashirekha was recovered from the bathroom of the MLA’s official residence in Bhubaneswar in August 2019 and he had claimed that she died by suicide.
