Indian Army, Navy And Air Force To Conduct Joint Exercise ‘Poorvi Prahar’ From November 10
Poorvi Prahar Military Exercise: A tri-services military exercise will be held in the eastern theatre from November 10-18, a defence official said on Friday.
The official, cited by news agency PTI, said that the nine-day-long war game, which will witness participation from the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, will be aimed at training the forces in carrying out joint operations in mountainous terrains.
Titled Poorvi Prahar, the exercise will entail setting up of joint control structures that will provide a more refined common operating picture and optimise devices that rely on AI-driven analytics and satellite communications, as per PTI’s report.
“Troops will refine their skills and leverage cutting-edge technologies like Swarm drones, first person view (FPV) drones and loiter munitions, which have significantly transformed modern warfare by improving situational awareness, precision and speed,” the official said.
A wide range of platforms from all three military branches will feature at ‘Poorvi Prahar’, the Defence official said in a statement. These platforms will include advanced fighter jets, reconnaissance aircraft, Chinook military transport helicopters, and the newly inducted M777 ultra-light howitzers, he said.
