Today, i.e., on 23.10.2024, a short while ago, Sri Vivekananda Tripathy, Asst. RI, In-charge R.I. of Sindurpur Revenue Circle under Binka Tahasil, Dist-Subarnapur has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance *while demanding and taking bribe of Rs. 20,000/- from a complainant as 1st instalment out of overall demand of bribe Rs.60,000/- to furnish enquiry report for conversion of his agriculture land to non-agriculture purpose and issuance of RoR in favour of Complt*. The entire bribe money has been recovered from accused Sri Tripathy, and seized.
Following trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Tripathy from DA angle.
In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No 26/2024 U/s-7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Vivekananda Tripathy, Asst. RI. Detailed report follows.
