The annual celebration of Maa Brahmayani Devi has been celebrated

  Angul, 17 /10 – The annual celebration of Maa Brahmayani Devi has been held in Gotamara village under Banarpal block of Angul district. Every year in the month of Ashwin(October), the village festival is seen in the worship of Goddess Maa ବ୍ରହ୍ମାଣୀ debi. Like every year, this year first the village’s goddess Maa Brahmayani Devi was taken out of the house by the worshipers and took her around the village to the pujamandap with the sound of bells, dhol badya, DJ sound, paika game, haribol, hulahuli etc. After reaching the mandapam, the worshiper performed puja according to the principles of Satyaban Amant and Satyaban Barah. Devotees from far and wide fasted to fulfill their own desires, while women prostrated themselves near the Devi mandap, and the children were behaired. Prayerer broke their fast after receiving the prasad from Worshiper. Temporary shops such as Manohari, Chart, Gupchup, Fast Food, Ice Cream were opened in the temple around the pilgrimage ground. The Yatra is going on for two days in the village and today, on the first day, Chairman of Village Puja Committee and Village President, Ex MLA Mr. Rajanikant Singh, Vice President Kumud Bihari Singh, Village Sarpanch Mantu Barah, Villager Subash Patnaik, Secretary Dayanidhi Vishwala, Keetu Panda, Dilip Samal, Dhir Samal and various committee members of the village expressed happiness. Angul MLA Pratap Chandra Pradhan, Chhendipada MLA Agasti Behera too come to Maa Brahmayani’s temple to got blessing.
