Submission of claim letter to the Director General of ESIC Hospital

Angul/Banarpal, 19/10 – Employees State Insurance Corporation Hospital. A representative assembly of MLA  is established at Balaram Prasad village under Banarpal Block and Angul District. The team of MLA Pratap Chandra Pradhan and the villagers have submitted a demand letter to the director general through the area director of ESIC Hospital to provide free treatment and medicine to the villagers in the said hospital and to provide free ambulance services. It has been alleged from the team and villagers that the hospital lacks necessary medical equipment and the departmental permanent and temporary staff are getting their monthly salaries on time without any effort and the government funds are being siphoned off. Angul district head quarter hospital is 14 km away from the said hospital. It has been alleged that when an accident occurred in the said area, the patient who came to the said hospital for emergency treatment was returned without treatment. The demands of the villagers are free medical care, free medicine delivery, free ambulance service, reservation of 10 beds, and provision of emergency services. It is alleged that when a patient arrives in an emergency, the stretcher boys do not assist the patient in getting the patient alive. Due to the lack of blood, faeces, urine test centers and equipment, the relatives of the patients are being sent to the clinic outside the hospital for examination, as a result of which the relatives of the patients are facing a lot of problems. One government employee and two private employees are employed in the X-ray center, but the X-ray house has not been started so far. It has been alleged that x-ray workers are getting paid month by month while patient care is being disrupted for x-rays. Even though there is a surgeon for OT services, patients are being transferred to other clinics without treatment. The said service has not been started due to non-availability of equipment while no staff has been recruited for ECG. Due to non-availability of all types of medicines in the medicine center, the distributors are forcing the patients to buy medicines from outside. A copy thereof to the Chief Minister, E Labor Minister of India, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, D. G.  Government of India, District Magistrate,  Superintendent of Police, MP Dhenkanal, MLA, Regional Medical Superintendent Balaramprasad, Central Vigilance Commissioner, Odisha Vigilance, Nalco Police Station, and all the media have been informed through letters. Balaram Prasad Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Jayanti Sahu, BJP Angul District Secretary Anil Behera, Ward Member Gopbandhu Barik, Anil Nath, mahammad Dehuri, Akhyay Gaana, Hemant Subudhi, Benudhar Das of Pingua village and many villagers were prominently present during the handover of the said memorandum.
