State level forest sports competition has closing Ceremony
Angul, 03/10 – A 2-day state level forestry sports competition has been organized at the local Forest Rangers Training College this afternoon. In this closing ceremony as the Chief Guest Regional Chief Conservator of Forest Mr. Sudshanshu Shekhar Khara, Director of Forest Rangers Training College Mr. Sangram Keshari Behera and Angul Bankhand Officer Mr. Nitish Kumar were present. On this occasion, the guests congratulated all the contestants who participated in the competition and awarded the best contestants. In this competition, 377 (262 male and 115 female) contestants from Angul, Berhampur, Nabarangpur and Sambalpur zones participated in a total of 39 events. A total of 375 (141 gold, 135 silver and 99 bronze) medals were awarded to the competitors. Out of this, Angul has won 92 medals, Brahmapur 106, Nabarangpur 89 and Sambalpur zone 88. For good performance in the competition, Mr. Santosh Kumar Pati in male junior category, Mr. Hardhan Bhoi in male senior category and Babita Nayak in female junior category and Suryakanti Behera in female senior category were awarded the champion trophy. Similarly, Mr. Sudhir Tripathi and Mr. Hardhan Bhoi were presented with Lifetime Achievement Award for their special contribution in Forest Sports competitions. District Sports Officer Mr. Akshay Kumar Sith, Forest Department staff, and media representatives were also present in this event.
