All 22 AAP MLAs, Including Ex CM Atishi, Suspended On Day 2 Of Delhi Assembly

22 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs, including former Chief Minister Atishi, were suspended from the Delhi Assembly by speaker Vijender Gupta for sloganeering during LG VK Saxena’s address.
AAP MLAs were demanding an explanation for allegedly removing and replacing Dr BR Ambedkar and Freedom fighter Bhagat Singh’s photos with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s picture from Chief Minisiter’s Office.
Reacting to the chaos, speaker Vijender Gupta suspended Opposition MLAs including, LoP Atishi and Gopal Rai.
The marshalls escorted Atishi, Gopal Rai, Sanjeev Jha, Vishesh Ravi, Anil Jha, and Jarnail Singh, who then staged a protest outside the Delhi Assembly.
AAP MLAs also raised slogans against BJP and how it is muting the Opposition’s voice.
It all started when Leader of Opposition Atishi and a few AAP MLAs went to CM Rekha Gupta’s room on Monday to discuss the plan and remind Chief Minister of her party’s manifesto (BJP manifesto for Delhi Assembly Elections 2025) and Prime Minister’s promise to give Rs 2500 per month to each woman of Delhi.
At that time, a picture was clicked showing Baba Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh’s photos replaced with Mahatma Gandhi, President Murmu and PM Modi’s photos from the wall behind the Chief Minister’s chair.
Reacting to the controversy, BJP said, that AAP is only trying to defame new Chief Minister. Baba Saheb and Bhagat Singh ji’s photos are on another wall.
