Launch of “Nikshay Mitra” program under district level Prime Minister Tuberculosis Free India campaign
Angul, 24/02 – “Nikshay Mitra” program has been launched in the district level Prime Minister Tuberculosis Free India campaign. Hon’ble Union Education Minister Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan joined the program as the chief guest and inaugurated the program. Honorable Dhenkanl MP Mr. Rudra Narayan Pani, Honorable Angul MLA Mr. Pratap Chandra Pradhan, Honorable Chhendipada MLA Mr. Agasti Behera, Honorable Pallahara MLA Mr. Ashok Mohanty, Honorable Talcher MLA Mr. Brajkishore Pradhan, Honorable District Council Chairperson Mrs. Babita Pradhan attended the event. In his speech, the Chief Guest sought everyone’s support for Tuberculosis Free Angul and Odisha for Tuberculosis Free India by 2025 at the call of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Similarly, nutritious food is said to be the most powerful weapon against tuberculosis. He also said that the successful implementation of this campaign will contribute to the goal of a developed Odisha by 2036 and a developed India by 2047.
On this occasion, various private institutions, individuals, panchayat representatives who have contributed to the eradication of tuberculosis were felicitated. Similarly, food packets were distributed to the patients suffering from tuberculosis and those who recovered from tuberculosis were honored. The Chief Guest also flagged off the Tuberculosis Awareness Rath. District Collector Mr. Abdul M Akhtar, Superintendent of police Mr. Rahul Jain, CDMO Mr. Shivanand Mohanty, Mr. Bhavani Shankar Khuswa from Union Health Ministry attended the event.Jindal, ED of Nalco and MCL Executive were also present in the event.
