Senior Citizen Pilgrimage has been launched
Angul, 06/02 – Today afternoon Senior Citizen Pilgrimage has been launched at local Saila Shrikhyetra. Senior Citizen Pilgrimage has been launched by MLA Shri Pratap Chandra Pradhan showing green flag as Chief Guest . President of the District Council Ms. Babita Pradhan, Sub Collector Mr. Mayadhar Behera, District Social Security Officer Mr. Narayan Mohapatra, District Culture Officer Mr. Dushasan Naik, District Tourism Officer Mr. Jagdish Ray, District Sports Officer Mr. Akshay Kumar Sith, Asst. Collector Mr. Sanjay Naik, media representatives and intellectual were prominently present. A total of 105 senior citizens, including 35 women from Angul, left for Sambalpur today under the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme. They are scheduled to leave for Kolkata in West Bengal – Kamakshya in Assam from Sambalpur railway station tomorrow and return on 12th. On behalf of the district administration, 3 escort officers have gone with the pilgrim.
