NTPC Talcher Thermal Celebrates 76th Republic Day with Grandeur and Community Spirit
Talcher, January 26, 2025: NTPC Talcher Thermal marked the 76th Republic Day with great fervor and enthusiasm at its premises. The celebrations began with the ceremonial unfurling of the national flag by Sh. Vijay Chand, Head of Project (HOP) and Chief General Manager (CGM), NTPC Talcher Thermal. Addressing the gathering, Sh. Chand reaffirmed NTPC’s unwavering commitment to community development and nation-building.
The event featured vibrant cultural performances by students from DAV Public School and nearby government schools, showcasing the spirit of unity and patriotism.
As part of its ongoing Community Development initiatives, NTPC Talcher Thermal awarded the prestigious “NTPC Utkarsh” Merit Scholarship to meritorious students. On this occasion, 18 students from five nearby village schools were invited to receive the scholarship. This initiative aims to promote higher education and foster a competitive spirit among rural students.
One of the scholarship recipients, Ms. Sagarika Sahoo from God-Tal Regional Higher Secondary School, Santhapada, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to NTPC Talcher Thermal for its continuous efforts in supporting and encouraging rural students.
The 76th Republic Day celebrations at NTPC Talcher Thermal stood as a testament to the organization’s dedication to community upliftment and fostering educational opportunities for future generations.
