PM Modi’s gift to women ahead of New Year: Women to receive Rs 7000 monthly under this new LIC scheme; Check application and other details

New Delhi: Ahead of the New Year 2025, PM Modi has announced a special gift for women: a new LIC scheme that will provide women with a monthly income of Rs 7,000. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched the ‘Bima Sakhi Yojana’ of Life Insurance Corporation, in line with his commitment to women empowerment and financial inclusion, in Panipat.

Sharing a post on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi wrote, “We are committed to the empowerment of mothers, sisters and daughters across the country. In this series, I will get the opportunity to launch the Bima Sakhi Yojana in Panipat, Haryana at around 2 pm today. During this time, I will also lay the foundation stone and inaugurate many other projects.”

What is LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana?

 

LIC’s Bima Sakhi (MCA Scheme) is a stipendiary scheme, exclusively for Women, with a stipendiary period of 3 years. The initiative will provide training to women aged 18-70 years, who have passed Class X, to become LIC agents.

 

They will receive a stipend for the first three years to promote financial literacy and awareness. After completing their training, these women will have the opportunity to qualify for positions as LIC Development Officers.

 

First Year Rs.7,000

Second Year Rs.6,000 (subject to at least 65% of Policies completed in the First stipendiary year are in-force as at the end of the corresponding month of the second stipendiary year)

Third Year Rs.5,000/(subject to at least 65% of Policies completed in the Second stipendiary year are in-force as at the end of the corresponding month of the third stipendiary year)

LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana: Check age limit

 

Minimum completed age should be 18 years as on date of application. Maximum age at entry will be 70 years ( last birthday)

The appointment of a person under the MCA scheme will not be treated as a salaried appointment as an employee of the Corporation.

The following documents should be attached to the application form: Self-attested copy of Age proof, Self-attested copy of Address proof , Self-attested copy of the certificate of Educational Qualification.
