Public Holidays List 2025: The Central Government has released the public holiday calendar for the year 2025. This calendar includes a total of 17 gazetted (mandatory) holidays and 34 restricted (optional) holidays.
Gazetted holidays are mandatory, during which all government offices remain closed, whereas restricted holidays are optional and depend on the employees’ choice.
This new calendar includes national festivals and significant religious occasions.
