Closing ceremony of SA Tribal festival held 

 

Angul/Banarpal/Nalco Nagar , 10/12 – The closing ceremony of the 10th edition of SA Foundation’s first tribal festival has been held at Mina Bazar, Nalco city. On the last day, Angul MLA Pratap Chandra Pradhan attended as the chief parten. Similarly Chendipada MLA Agasti Behera joined as Chief Speaker and Pallahada MLA Ashok Mohanty as the chief guest. Bharat Masala Chairman Surendranath Panda as special guest, Ajit Kumar Dhar, President of Angul District Journalists Union (ADUJ), Muna Samal, President of Aluminum Mazdoor Sangh, prominent social worker leader, three prominent district councilors Gopal Chandra Naik, Jasobant Prasad Behera, Mira Gadnayak as special guests major attended. In the evening of the last day cultural program introduced the development of tribal folk culture, peasant art culture, various tribal dance arts were displayed. Tribal cultural traditions, clothes made using knowledge techniques, Khadi clothes, wooden household goods, medicinal goods, goods made from cow dung, goods made from coir, food items are sold. The honored guest appreciated the health care provided by Hitech for 9 days along with the provision of prescription glasses and medicines. More than ten thousand patients have shown their health in this fair. The chief guest was highly appreciated by the guests who participated from 19 districts and 13 states. He spoke about the government’s urgency in how the caste and tribe should be included in the mainstream. Spoke about Sant poet Bhimvoi and Raghunath Murmu. Earlier there was no tribal fair.
