Talcher – 7th November 2024: NTPC Talcher Thermal commemorated the golden jubilee of NTPC’s establishment on 7th November 2024, celebrating 50 years of dedicated service to the nation. The event, marked by a deep sense of pride and commitment, highlighted NTPC’s enduring legacy of community development and sustainable progress.
The ceremony began with the hoisting of the NTPC flag by Sh. Vijay Chand, Chief General Manager & Head of Project, Talcher Thermal. The occasion was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. J.P. Roy, General Manager (Project), Sh. Deepak, General Manager (Engineering), and Smt. Vibha Agarwal, President of Sagarika Ladies Club, along with all Heads of Departments, employees, and their families.
In his keynote address, Sh. Vijay Chand emphasized NTPC’s role as a catalyst for societal transformation. “NTPC is a symbol of resilience, progress, and innovation. Over the past 50 years, it has remained committed not only to power generation but also to being a beacon of positive change for communities across the nation. At Talcher Thermal, we are focused on ensuring our project progresses on schedule, with the aim of making a lasting impact on society,” he stated.
Underscoring NTPC’s commitment to environmental stewardship, 50 saplings were planted to symbolize each year of the organization’s contribution to sustainable development. The day’s events reflected NTPC Talcher Thermal’s unwavering commitment to not only generating power but also empowering communities and fostering environmental stewardship, as the organization looks ahead to shaping the next 50 years of impactful progress.
