District level anti-corruption awareness meeting held

Angul, 03/11- Anti-corruption awareness week is being observed from October 28th to 3rd November this year to make the public aware of corruption and to eradicate it. In this occasion a district level anti – corruption awareness program was held at District conference hall this morning today. In the meeting, Mr. Abdal Muhammad Akhtar attended the meeting as the chief speaker and said in his speech that the late of public’s urgent service, demand of public and income received are the root of corruption. As a result, the general public has to frequent government offices and become victims of corrupt officials and brokers. There is a need for every officer to carry out his duty with sincerity. In this meeting, Additional District Collector Shri. Pratap Pritimay joined and said that corruption has an effect all over the world and corruption.,Many organizations like the prosecution, CBI, vigilance, and the police are functioning for prevention. Still corrupt, We have been hearing the news in our daily lives. Widespread public awareness can help eradicate corruption in society. The Additional Superintendent of Police, Mr. Surenda Nath Rajagu Guru joined in and said that corruption is a curse for the society and the family. The corrupted officers caught by Vigilance is punished himself and forces his family to noded in the civilized society. So he suggested that all officers should refrain from corruption. Dr. Dharanidhar Nath, Retired President of Odisha Secondary Education Council joined as the keynote speaker and discussed in detail about this year’s theme “Truthful Culture is the Foundation of Nation’s Prosperity”. Later on, the winners of the Essay Competition held at the High School and college level were felicitated. First of all, the meeting was started by lighting the lamp. Deputy Superintendent of Vigilance Mr. Pradeep Kumar Samal, Inspector Ms. Urmila Lakra, district level accountants, students, intellectuals and representatives of the media were present in this meeting.

On the occasion of anti-corruption awareness week, a district-level awareness rally involving students took out from Saila Shrikhytra and went around the city this morning. Hon’ble Angul MLA Shri Pratap Chandra Pradhan inaugurated the rally by showing the green flag.
