Tribute to Padma Bibhushan Ratan N Tata at Tata Steel Meramandali
Meramandali, October 10, 2024: Tata Steel Meramandali (TSM) on Thursday paid tributes to one of India’s most distinguished personalities, Padma Bibhushan Ratan N Tata. Mr. Tata passed away on the night of October 9, 2024.
At the administrative building on the factory premises, Tata Steel Meramandali Vice President (Operations) Utam Singh, senior officers and employees gathered to pay their respects to Mr. Tata. Tributes were also paid by company employees in all departments.
Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, was not only a visionary leader but also a philanthropist, whose influence reverberated beyond the corporate world. Under his leadership, the Tata Group played a major role in strengthening India’s industrial sector by expanding into sectors including steel, automobiles and information technology.
Ratan Tata was committed to ethical business, innovation and new ideas as well as social responsibility. His initiatives in education, healthcare and rural development have changed countless lives across the country. His dedication to nation building through Tata Trust and industrialization is a unique example.
