District Level Children’s Festival “Mahak O Utschaha” – 2024-25

International Day of the Girl Child – 2024

Angul , Oct, 10/2024 On the day of International Day of the Girl Child – 2024 Anugol District, with the support of the District Child Protection Department and the District Social Welfare Department, the district level children’s festival “Mahak utschaha ” – 2024-25 and International Day of the Girl Child – 2024 were held. Muhammad Abdal Akhtar, District Collector Angul attended the opening ceremony as the chief guest and inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. The children living in the children’s institutions are not inferior in any way. Many talents are hidden among them.

The District Collector awarded certificates and trophies to the contestants who excelled in the 100m run, 2000m run, high jump, long jump, carrom, chess and other competitions held under his supervision. The children who won the first, second and third place at the district level in the national drawing competition last year were also awarded at the inaugural function. Among the girls, the District Magistrate related to the said 6 children who achieved the first Adi achievement in the district. Later on, the children of the Children’s Instrumental Institute had competitions in elocution, simple general knowledge, drawing, solo music, and group dance. In the inauguration of the program, Mr. Pratap Prithimay, Additional District Collector Anugol Chief Aluth attended as the guest and said that celebration is a good medium for the development of children and motivated the children to reach their goals. Additional District Magistrate Mr. Prithimay awarded certificates and trophies to the successful contestants in the competition held at the grand event. District Child Protection Officer Mr. Behera has informed that the team will participate in the upcoming state-level “Mahak and Enthusiasm” program.District Medical and Public Health Officer Dr. Shivanand Mohanty, Mr. Padmanav Samantharai Additional Executive Officer District Council Angol, Ms. Sasmita Sahu District Education Officer Angol, Dr. Vishwabhushan Group Development Officer Angol, Mr. Dekshi Shisha Sahu District Emimect Officer Angol, Ms. Nirupma Mani District Samaj Children’s Welfare Officer, Mr. Akshay Shith District Krida Acharya, Prathym Sahu, District Children’s Welfare Committee Chief Manchasin. Dr. Kulamani Naik, a retired lecturer, attended the program under the supervision of District Child Protection Officer Mr. Gaurishkan Behera. The program was coordinated by District Child Protection Department’s POIC Amaresh Jhali, PONIC Jharana Nayak, LPO Pradeep Nayak, Data Analyst Dilip Nayak, Chhail Mallik, Satyanand Sahu, UNICEF and Axnoid District Coordinator Santosh Kumar Behera Children’s Institute staff.
