District level Gandhi Jayanti celebrated
Angul, 02/10 – The saint of peace and non violent Gandhi ji’s 155th and peace ambassador Lal bahadur Shastri’s 120 th birthday was celebrated today at local Gandhi Park in Angul. In this occasion the honorable MLA of Angul Shri Pratap Chandra Pradhan, District Council Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Mr Hemant Kumar Singh, Additional Collector Shri Pratap Pritimay, Public representative, District level officers Intellectuals, media representatives were present and Wreath in the statue of Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Dr. Dharanidhar Nath retired president of Odisha Secondary Education Council, as chief speaker said about Gandhiji’s Non-violence policy. He told about Gandhiji’s fight and success too. In that program read Gita by retired Principal Dr. Kulamani Nayak and student of the Baji Rout Chhatrabas and Reverent Joshiya Kauri read bible. Maulana mahammad Liyakat read koran too on the occasion of all religions meeting. Guests are distributed prizes to winners of school levels competition. The City tour was held by DIPRO officials by play recording of Ramdhun in early morning. The school students were marching by 06. 30 O’clock. Many students, teachers, officials, social workers and many more Gandhi lovers were present. Dr. Dharani Dhar Nath was the chief guest at the organized discussion and poetry festival , Prof. Kumud Chandra Das as the keynote speaker, Shri Radhakant Mohanty as the Honorable Speaker and the Coordinator Dr. Indira Das joined in the Gandhi’s biography, non-violence policy and ideals and were discussed openly.
